What is Protected & Progressing Live?

Protected & Progressing Live is an afternoon of honest conversation, practical support, and community for anyone navigating the parenthood journey - whether you're planning a family, expecting, on leave, or already in the thick of it.

Brought to you by Pregnant & Protected (by Primas Law) and Outlet Ten, this is our first ever live event - celebrating one year of helping people understand and protect their rights.

It's not a lecture. It's not corporate. It's a space to learn, connect, and feel a bit less alone in it all.

Who is this for?

This event is for everyone. Mums, dads, partners, grandparents, single parents, adoptive parents, foster carers, people who've experienced baby loss, and anyone supporting someone on that journey. Whether you're pregnant, trying, returning to work, or just want to understand your rights - you're welcome here.

If you have questions about employment rights, legal protections, flexible working, financial support, or simply want to hear from people who've been through it - this is your afternoon.

What to Expect

❋ Panel Discussions

Real conversations with real people. Our panels bring together experts and people with lived experience to talk about the things that actually matter — your rights at work, the realities of modern parenting, and the support most people don't know exists. Each panel includes audience Q&A so you can ask what's on your mind.

❋ Practical Drop-In Sessions

Smaller, hands-on sessions running alongside the panels. Think legal advice drop-ins, confidence building workshops, financial planning guidance, and more. Turn up, ask questions, leave with something useful.

❋ Expert Legal Advice

Primas Law's employment team will be on hand throughout the afternoon offering free guidance on your rights during pregnancy, maternity, paternity, and parental leave.

❋ Freebies

Every attendee gets a goodie bag on arrival, packed with products, samples, discounts, and useful information from our partners.

❋ Exhibition Stalls

Browse stalls from charities, support organisations, recruitment specialists, and services that are genuinely relevant to your life right now. The kind of organisations you'll wish you'd found sooner.

❋ Food & Drink

The venue café is open throughout the event and you are welcome to bring your own food and snacks!
